Marcus

 An experienced live musician, Marcus has been involved in music since he was 8 years old. Besides being a piano and keyboard player, he is also a drummer, song writer, composer, music teacher and music producer. 

 

“Originally from London, I moved to West Sussex in 2021 and some time thereafter, having reconnected with Dunstan, I came to see the Claptones play a couple of times. In fact I used to play drums in a band called 'Who Brought The Dog' with Dunstan many years ago! Dunstan invited me to audition for the Claptones on keyboards and I joined the band in January 2024. Thankfully, it didn't take me long to settle in and participate in band banter, namely the in jokes and mocking fellow band members ( which seems to be a prerequisite to be part of the band) Despite this though and a few gigs later, I am proud to be part of a professional, fun and cohesive bunch of fellow musicians. They definitely keep me on my toes”

As the newest member of the band, Marcus has brought a whole new musical dynamic to the band, with his compositional skills elevating the Claptones sound to a new level.
